Congrats to Steve-0 and Claydson on their promotion to Black Belt.    Both men have been training with Team Bittencourt since the Bittencourt Brothers came to America. On Wednesday July 28th 2010, their dedication and hard work was recognized  as they were promoted to Black Belts.

ROMULO BITTENCOURT  takes the New York International Jiu-Jitsu  OPEN Championship!!!!!In his first competition in over 5 years, Professor Bittencourt won the Absolute Black Belt Masters, and Super Super Heavy division tonight! HE IS BACK!!!And the team was there to celebrate with him....



 

NAGA was a huge success!!! We closed the Black Belt Division and took home the Championship Belt.

  Welcome to the Renzo Gracie Academy of Newark,NJ -Team Bittencourt's web site. We are located in the heart on Newark N.J.'s Ironbound section, just a 10 minute walk from Newark Penn Station and Path Trains. We offer classes seven days a week in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
  If you would like to learn Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to get into shape, learn self defense, or want to become a serious competitor, our facility is the place to train. We provide a safe and friendly enviornment  under the supervision of 3rd Degree Black Belt Romulo Bittencourt, our Head Instructor. We run 24 classes a week, with most of our classes lasting 1 and 1/2 to 2 hours.

 Artur Rofi finally gets his Purple Belt!!Congrats to Artur on his promotion to Purple Belt. The Blue Belt division is now safe again. 
Steve-0 takes home the win with a unanimous decision in A.C.! 

Great job to Frank and Gabriel "Sparky" on their first place finishes in the blue belt division at Grapplers Quest!!! Also Kareem "The Dream" finished up strong , taking home the Bronze medal with a submission finish. Great Job you guys!!!!!!
